Dog Items: Collar vs. Harness
I have experienced that time when Twix, my male shih tzu, kept on tugging his leash as he tried to run after a moving car. We were at the parking lot of Tiendesitas in Pasig City, and Twix was barking loudly. Maybe he smelled something bad about the car.
Good thing, I had used a reliable leash and harness on Twix, so it's easier to stop him from being a nuisance. I never buy those cute dog collars because I used to think that could make the dog choke to death if you pulled it the wrong way. Imagine, the dog's running and you pull the leash hard enough to make the dog stop, because he's already choking... It's just sad.

Female Dog Heat Cycle & Knowing the Signs
Guada, my female shih tzu, started to "heat" when she was about seven months old. Twix, my male shih tzu, would usually climb onto her and try to mate with her. In one instance, Twix had been able to shoot into Guada, and 2 months later, she gave birth to 3 wonderful puppies.
For small breeds, first heat usually occurs between 6 to 9 months of age. Then the succeeding heats occur every six months from then on. What are the signs that the dam is approaching heat?

With Love,
If you’ve ever joined some of the most popular running events like the adidas King of the Road, Condura, or even the ING New York Marathon, then you've probably shared the road with Jaymie Pizarro.
The lady also known as The Bull Runner started running in December 2006, when she decided to drop the treadmill and increase her pace.
See how the Tab technology elevates Jaymie's life as she plays wife, mom to two kids, running extraordinaire, and baby sign language instructor.
